In our opening sequence, we will need only two costumes. One will be for the victim and the other for the villain. The villain will be wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, black t-shirt and black trainers. The victim will be wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans and white trainers. However in our opening sequence, makeup and hair will have a big impact on the overall costume as it helps to conveys the narrative. All of these clothing items for the costume can be sourced from Amazon or Primark as they are quite simple and not hard to find. Some items our actors might already own which will help due to our budget and specific sizing needed. We will most likely have a spare of each item of clothing as a backup just in case something goes wrong as we want to be over prepared as we only have one day to film.
Primark does not have a useful website therefore I looked on Amazon to get a rough idea of cost.
On Amzazon...
A black hoodie ranges from £10 - £15
You can buy two black t-shirt ranges from £10 - £15
Black jeans are £15 - £25
Plain black trainers will most likely already be owned by the actors however can be bought for around £20
A white t-shirt is around £10
Black jeans are £15 - £25
White trainers are £20 - £30
We have chosen the villain wearing all black as this represents evil and darkness. A hoodie is commonly worn by street criminals as it conceal their appearances. Contrasting with this the white t-shirt worn by the victim reflects an element of innocence which will also help display the makeup and fake blood used etc to heighten the drama.
