Originally for the opening sequence, we were going to use a location of a woods. It would be dark, sinister and add to the horror element of the narrative.
However, we then realised that this choice of location is quite generic and been done many times. We would also want to shoot when it would be dark which creates problems such as lighting and the overall process of filming when it is freezing cold and dark at night.
We changed the location to a shipping container which also changed the narrative of the opening sequence. We used this location as it is much more original but also lets us have a lot more creative access for what we would like to do with the set design.
